Carol Tremayne

Carol Tremayne shares her vision of the beauty of nature and the fascinating world around us through the camera lens and the paint brush. Her passion for the creative process is exhibited in her design, drawing, painting using acrylic on canvas and controlling the final impact of her photography by printing her own photos.

Born and raised in Toronto, Carol came to Newmarket to teach high school Art and Math. She has studied Fine Art, Math and Photography at various Ontario Universities and Colleges. Her background in Art History is a catalyst for her travels which are the source of many of her photographic and artistic images. Being an observant gardener she often doesn’t need to travel outside her own backyard for natural subject matter.

Carol is a member of the Society of York Region Artists, the Richmond Hill Camera Club and the Newmarket Group of Artists. She regularly participates in local art shows and artist’s workshops and has won several awards. An avid visitor of Art Galleries, Carol has always been interested in and inspired by new ideas and the work of others both past and present.
